Vous avez participer à son succès. Enfin, j’aimerais apporter mon soutien et exprimer mes sincères condoléances à la communauté marocaine d’Orléans et du Canada ainsi qu’au peuple marocain à la suite du séisme dévastateur qui a frappé le Maroc. SO 31: MP Lalonde-Visiting Senior Homes May 30th 2023Monsieur le Président,As June marks Seniors Month, I was delighted to start visiting senior residences in my community of Orléans last week. After a few years without being able to meet them, it was so nice to sit down with them, hear how they were doing and simply enjoying quality time together. I have to say, it was a joy to see the smile on their face. The resilience and strength exhibited by the residents were truly inspiring.Ce fut aussi l’occasion de me joindre à la famille Dumoulin au Manoir Portobello pour souligner le 100e anniversaire de naissance de Mme Germaine Dumoulin. Je tiens à remercier tout le personnel pour leur accueil et dévouement à nos ainés.J’ai également eu le privilège de me joindre au Club 60 d’Orléans pour souligner les 50e et 60e anniversaire de mariage de certains de leurs membres. Yesterday was Mother’s Day! As a mother myself, I want to thank all of you for your dedication, and your love in raising amazing children. I also had the pleasure of attending the Mother's Day High-Tea Event on Saturday, which was organized by my fellow Rotarian members of the Rotary Club of Orléans. The event was significant and symbolic, with the aim of honoring the women who have played important roles in our lives. Summer is among us, and it means it is the time to garden, plant flowers, grow vegetables and much more. I was pleased to join the incredible team at Just Food in my community to officially open a new green house and pavilion thanks to a funding of 291, 533 dollars from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund. These much-needed new spaces will become host to a weekly farmer’s market. Merci

SO31: May 15th - Happy Mothers Day

Script below |<br /><br />It’s with emotion that I join my community of Orléans to express our deepest sympathies to the family and numerous friends of Thomas Allen Tweddle -known as Al - following his passing on May 1st. <br /><br />Anyone who has crossed path with Al will tell you that it is simply impossible to list all of his contributions to our community.<br /><br /><br /><br />In his necrology, it says and I quote: 'Big Al' was a fixture in the community; much like the local parks, nature trails, hockey rinks and tennis courts he helped build. He was a tireless advocate for Petrie Island, a beautiful oasis he helped develop in the east end. <br /><br />As Orléans’ representative, I had the privilege of collaborating with this great advocate of nature, environment and education. <br /> <br />So…. Thank you Al for teaching us the importance of caring for our environment.

Le 1 mai, j'ai fait une déclaration concernant les activités dans la communauté et les reconnaissances.Script Below | Script ci-dessousLe 28 avril dernier, j’ai pris part à la 8ieme édition de la soirée Saphir, un événement organisé par la Fondation Franco-ontarienne visant à reconnaître l'engagement, l'excellence et le rayonnement des femmes dans la communauté francophone. Je tiens sincèrement à féliciter les six lauréates de la soirée ainsi que toutes les finalistes. À cet effet, j’aimerais reconnaître deux finalistes issues de ma communauté pour leur leadership,- Maïssa Zemni dans la catégorie jeunesse et Lise Sarazin dans la catégorie professionnelle de l’année. Also, this weekend marked the 30th Annual Clean up the Capital, and I want to recognize the Blackburn Community Association and the Cardinal Creek Community Association for their effort and participation. Always a pleasure to join them and their volunteers to help clean up our community of Orléans. Merci

On April 18th, I made a statement regarding Sophie Grenier winning La Voix TVA 2023.<br />Le18 avril, j'ai fait une déclaration concernant la victoire de Sophie Grenier à La Voix TVA 2023.<br />...<br />Script Below | Script ci-dessous<br />C’est avec honneur que je reconnais aujourd’hui la nouvelle étoile et ambassadrice d’Orléans: Sophie Grenier<br /><br />Sophie est la gagnante de la saison 9 de l’émission télévisée « La Voix » au Québec. <br /><br />Ses prestations musicales ont depuis le début fait l’unanimité au sein des coachs et du public, par la force de sa voix et l’émotion transmise lors de ses performances. <br /><br />Ce succès, elle le doit bien sûr à son talent mais aussi à un long travail depuis son plus jeune âge à l’école de chant Sing House Studios d’Orléans sous la tutelle de la propriétaire Chantal Hackett.<br />Sing House Studios est une petite entreprise engagée dans la communauté qui accompagne les jeunes franco-ontariens dans leur éducation musicale.<br /><br />C’est avec fierté que je rends hommage à Sophie Grenier et je la remercie de représenter la communauté franco-ontarienne à travers la musique et le chant.

On March 29th, I made an announcement regarding Denis Gratton.Le 29 mars, J'ai fait une annonce concernant Denis Gratton....Script Below| Script ci-dessousC’est avec tristesse mais rempli d’espoir que je me joins à tous les franco-ontariens et mes collègues de cette Chambre pour rendre hommage à un homme extraordinaire et journaliste au Droit depuis 32 ans, qui entame une bataille sans précédent contre un ennemi qu’il a appelé dans sa récente et … non dernière chronique… «Goliath » le cancer. Bien sûr, je fais référence à un fier Franco-Ontarien – M. Denis Gratton…. Un homme passionné qui travaille sans relâche pour la défense du fait français chez nous à Ottawa à travers des chroniques que nous lisons avec intérêt malgré quelque fois un peu de sarcasme amical…Aujourd’hui, c’est un message d’espoir et de courage que nous lui transmettons! Denis, nous sommes avec vous en pensée dans votre lutte. Restez fort comme vous l’avez toujours été dans la défense de notre droit à parler français!!!!
